Abstract
The numerical simulation method was used to study the control effects of the steady jet, square pulse jet and sine pulse jet on the shock/boundary interaction. The effects of different jet modes on the flow structure and the pressure distribution of the controlled flow field at Ma=2 were analyzed. The results show that different jet modes can effectively control the flow, including increasing the shock distance, weakening the shock intensity and reducing the wall pressure of the shock generator. In terms of control effect, the steady jet is the best, followed by the square pulse jet. However, the mass flow required by steady jet is also the largest, followed by the square pulse jet. The relationship between the control effects of the three jets and the required mass flow rate shows that the increase of control benefit decreases with the increase of mass flow rate.
