Influence of Supersonic Aircraft with Powered Engine on Near-Field Pressure Signal and Ground Sonic Boom

  • The new generation of environmentally friendly and reliable supersonic commercial aircraft has been a hot research topic in recent years, and low sonic-boom technology is one of the key technologies. Studying the influencing factors of sonic boom helps to promote the development of low sonic-boom design technology. As far as the supersonic aircraft is concerned, the influence of the engine jet on the near-field and far-field pressure signals and the ground sonic-boom is quite important. Many scholars and research units at home and abroad have conducted researches on this subject. Beijing Aircraft Technology Research Institute of COMAC conducted a series of studies on the impact of supersonic jets on near-field pressure signals and sonic booms. And selected the low-sonic-boom standard model NASA C25D provided by the AIAA Sonic Boom Prediction Workshop. The numerical simulation and analysis of the configurations of ventilated nacelles and powered nacelles were carried out. The steady computations based on Euler method and RANS method were adopted, and the ground sonic-boom signals were calculated from the near-field pressure signals by the waveform parameter method, and converted into the perceptible loudness values, which were compared with those of some participants. The effects of supersonic jets on nearfield pressure signals and sonic boom were summarized, and the technical basis for the low sonic boom design of future supersonic commercial aircraft was reserved.
